Mariah Carey only eats fish and capers.
The ‘Hero’ hitmaker has admitted her diet is "really hard" to follow at times because she limits herself to oily salmon and the pickled flower buds – nothing else – in order to stay in shape.
Speaking to E! News, the 46-year-old pop star said with a deep sigh: "It’s really hard. My diet, you would hate it. All you eat is Norwegian salmon and capers every day. That’s it."
The brunette beauty – who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her estranged husband Nick Cannon – believes the secret to her tight enviable frame is sticking to proteins.
She explained when pressed further on her fishy diet: "I’m actually serious. I try to stick with the proteins. It’s the worst."
Mariah’s desire to stay in shape is no doubt taking her mind off her split from billionaire businessman James Packer.
The diva called off her engagement to the Australian tycoon last month but insisted she isn’t too heartbroken by the situation.
She said recently: "I think I’m doing well…No, I’m actually…Everything happens for a reason. Things are the way they are … It’s kind of difficult to talk about it at the moment. So, I’m just going to compliment you on these decorations once again because they are fabulous, and I am here, among them."
The pair called time on their romance in September following a blazing row while holidaying in Greece and Mariah is reportedly relieved she never made it down the aisle with James.
An insider explained: "She’s ready to move on. She feels like she dodged a bullet … The negotiations aren’t going well."
