Mariah Carey refuses to go into a supermarket.
The ‘Hero’ singer is renowned for her diva reputation and she admits she never does her own food shopping because of the "bad lighting" in grocery stores.
She explained: "It’s pretty bad lighting in the grocery store. Have you noticed it’s fluorescent lighting?"
The 46-year-old singer does her best to make things as close to "perfect" as she can for her children, five-year-old Moroccan and Monroe – who she has with estranged husband Nick Cannon – but admits the kids "frustrate" her at times.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "They have strong personalities [and] they are pretty amazing. They make me laugh.
"They frustrate me sometimes. But they are great… I can’t make things perfect them but I try my hardest to always make them happy."
The ‘Fantasy’ singer got engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer in January and she has admitted tying the knot some time this year is "the goal".
However, she added: "There’s a lot on my plate."
While she is very happy with James, Mariah wasn’t "on the prowl" for a new man when they first met, but felt a spark between them as they began spending time together.
She said: "We were talking and having a good time and I was like, ‘This guy is really fun.’ So it was nice."
One of the things preventing Mariah tying the knot in the near future is the apparent reluctance of Nick to sign off on their divorce.
The former couple split in August 2014 and the ‘America’s Got Talent’ host filed for divorce later that year.
Though they struck a property settlement and agreed to joint custody of their twins in December 2014, Nick has repeatedly declined to sign the paperwork to make the divorce official, and reportedly won’t give reasons for his hesitation.
However, sources claimed the 35-year-old star still loves Mariah and doesn’t officially want to let her go, nor is he keen for her to tie the knot with billionaire fiance James Packer.
