Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen live apart a few days a week.
The ‘Love Island’ couple – who met and fell for one another in the villa last summer – moved into a home together in Bethnal Green, East London, just before Christmas but like to have a few days where they’re separate so they can miss each other.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the 32-year-old hunk said: "I’m at the flat quite a lot but sometimes I come back here to Chigwell for a couple of days just to make tunes and she’ll go off and do what she’s doing for those couple of days and then I’ll go back and we miss each other. And you need that at the start of your relationship."
And, although they’ve moved in together, the Blazin’ Squad rapper wants to slow down their relationship because they were living in each other’s pockets in the villa.
He said: "Me and Gabs see ourselves getting married in the future but when you get together in the villa it’s so intense where you’re literally living with that person 24/7.
"You share a bed straight away on your first date but we’ve made a conscious effort to slow it down – not slow it down too much because we want to keep the passion."
But Marcel is already thinking up ways he can pop the question to Gabby.
He explained: "I know that I want to pop the question at some point but I don’t want to rush into it because I don’t want to take away from building the relationship. I might take moments from the villa that meant something to us and maybe use them for parts of the proposal – I could be wearing the same clothes I wore on a certain date."
