Maggie Grace secures deal for Taken 3


Maggie Grace has secured a deal to star in ‘Taken 3’.

The 30-year-old star is set to reprise her role as Bryan Mills’ (Liam Neeson) daughter in a third instalment of the popular franchise, according to deadline.com.

Grace has also been tapped as the female lead, alongside Charlie Cox, in a forthcoming CBS Wall Street drama pilot, which is yet to be titled, and had to work out dates for the pilot and ‘Taken 3’ to make sure there were no clashes.

Meanwhile, Neeson is said to have been offered $20million to reprise his role as Mills, Famke Janssen looks set to portray his ex-wife once again, and Forest Whitaker is in talks to join the join the cast.

Olivier Megaton – who directed the second film – is in the director’s seat, and Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen will pen the script.

The action-packed original 2008 film, directed by Pierre Morel, followed a retired CIA agent on a mission to save his daughter who was kidnapped during a trip to Paris and and grossed more than $226 million worldwide.

While ‘Taken 2’ was critically panned, it was popular with viewers and the 2012 sequel proved a box office hit, grossing $374 million worldwide.
