Lydia Bright’s mum quits TOWIE

Lydia Bright’s mother has quit ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 27-year-old reality TV star announced she was leaving the show that made her famous in order to focus on other ventures less than 24 hours ago and now her mum Debbie Douglas has decided to follow suit because her time has "come to an end."
Taking to her Twitter account, the 55-year-old star said: "Following the recent release re Lydia leaving TOWIE I feel it’s the right time to inform you that I decided to leave the show at the end of the last series… please BELIEVE me that this had no link at all re James returning. I wish James love and happiness as does Lydia. My time on Towie has come to an end for other reasons. Love and hugs to you all (sic)"
It’s not yet known what "other reasons" are involved in Debbie’s decision to walk away from the series but it was initially thought Lydia had decided to quit after she got wind that her on/off ex-boyfriend James ‘Arg’ Argent, 29, had asked to return following his successful stint in rehab, in which he sought treatment for addiction, earlier this year.
A source said recently: "Lydia’s loved being on ‘TOWIE’ despite the stresses it’s caused in her personal life, particularly when it comes to Arg.
"She was weighing up her future following the end of the last series and with Arg clearly being back in contention, it triggered her decision. She knew he would get a lot of airtime and it’s only natural she would be dragged into possible storylines."
But it won’t be the last time she’s seen on screen as the blonde beauty has reportedly already lined up a number of fashion and television projects.
An insider explained: "Lydia has loads of TV and fashion projects in the pipeline and leaving ‘TOWIE’ will free her up to concentrate on them."
This isn’t the first time Lydia has walked away from the programme as she decided to take a break back in 2013 after she struck up a relationship with Tom Kilbey.
