Lydia Bright has named her daughter Loretta Rose.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star welcomed a daughter into the world on 21 February and she’s named the tot in honour of the fact her paternal grandfather was born in Loreto, Italy, and her middle name is shared with Lydia herself and her maternal grandmother.
She said: "My grandparents have always been a massive part of my life so it’s lovely I can do that for them."
She jokingly added to HELLO! magazine: "I’d have loved to do it for my parents but they’re called Debbie and Dave so I couldn’t really.
"I couldn’t use their places of birth either – Walthamstow and Lewisham."
Lydia split from Loretta’s father, Lee Cronin, early in her pregnancy but they are now working on rebuilding their relationship and he was "amazing" during the tot’s birth.
She said: "We’re getting on really well.
"Loretta was planned – this was always something we were going to do. So we decided to build up a relationship again. I didn’t want to be angry anymore – what’s happened has happened, I’m not going to hold a grudge."
But though the pair are "committed to being a family", they’re not officially back together yet.
She added: "Now we’re in a good place and I do love him, of course I do.
"I would love to think that we’re going to be a family, and told him that if he could prove it to me between then and when the baby arrived then I would give things another shot. So that’s what we’re trying to do at the moment
"Equally, I know that if it didn’t work out and we tried, we could be great friends and Loretta would always be our priority. Is he my boyfriend? We haven’t really had that discussion. We’re committed to being a family, but nobody has a crystal ball at the end of the day."
