Lucy Pargeter missed awards due to night shoot

Lucy Pargeter missed the Inside Soap Awards because she was "stuck in a boggy field".
The ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who plays Chas Dingle – was unable to join her co-star Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk) to pick up their Best Partnership accolade last week because she busy shooting some less-than-glamorous scenes for the show.
She said: "I’ve been stuck in a boggy field for a night shoot and I’m so disappointed I wasn’t at the party."
Lucy loves sharing the screen with Dominic because it’s like working with her "best friend" and she’s looking forward to their future storylines and seeing how Chas and Paddy’s new baby "tests" them as a couple.
She told Inside Soap magazine: "A new baby in any relationship is bound to be a test.
"But Chas and Paddy are strong and open as a couple, supporting each other when they know the other one is down.
"And Dom is just brilliant, so trusting. I feel as if I’m doing a scene with one of my best mates because he’s got your back."
Dominic enjoys working with Lucy just as much and was very "proud" of their previous storyline that followed the tragic death of their daughter Grace on the same day she was born, particularly as it hasn’t just been forgotten about now they are focused on their future with another baby.
He said: "Paddy and Chas keep referring to Grace and I hope they do that forever.
"We’re so proud of her story – it was really something for Chas and Paddy to go through and it was so well-researched and brilliantly written.
"And Lucy is incredible to work with."
