Lucy Mecklenburgh will be ‘working’ mum

Lucy Mecklenbrugh will be a "working" mother.

The former ‘TOWIE’ star is desperate to start a family with her Olympic gymnast boyfriend Louis Smith but she’s adamant she’ll never give up her career to do so.

She said: "I’d absolutely love a family as well as a career. I’ll never stop working, that’s for sure. I’ve always been prepared to work hard – my parents instilled that in me."

And, although their relationship seems to be going from strength-to-strength, the brunette beauty, 24, isn’t ready to pack up her home and move into Louis’ abode just yet.

Asked if they’ve spoken about moving in together, Lucy told Star magazine "Not right now. He built his house in Peterborough and I’ve nearly finished building mine in Essex. It wouldn’t work at the minute.

"It’s important to have your own space and not to plan things around someone else. We live our own lives and see each other when we’re both free."

But it seems the athlete’s pet pooch Luna also has something to do with Lucy not wanting to spend a lot of time as his home as she once nipped her on the hand.

Louis said previously: "Lucy wants my dog to be more loving, more of a cuddle up on the sofa dog but my dog is not like that, she’s more active and she’s a very independent dog – she’ll sit on the other side of the sofa, that’s what my dog is like.

"I think that’s what huskies are like really, they’re very active I have to my dog on at least two or three walks a day."
