Lucy-Jo Hudson and her husband Alan Halsall want to "save" their marriage.
The couple – who have a two-year-old daughter, Sienna-Rae -split in March after seven years’ of marriage and 10 years together.
The 33-year-old actress has now declared she and the ‘Coronation Street’ actor are fighting to fix their relationship after talking through many of their issues.
A message given to ITV daytime show ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (05.05.16) and read out by Ruth Langford, stated: "Al and I did keep talking through our four months apart and recently we started spending times trying to work things through together, as we know we both want to save our marriage. Love, Lucy-Jo."
Lucy-Jo had appeared as a guest on the show last month and was asked by the panel about her separation from the 33-year-old soap star and whether there was a chance they could reconcile.
On the programme, she said: "We’re so amicable and we get on and we speak every day and he comes round for a brew and you know we will maintain as mummy and daddy. At the minute, our focus is about Sienna, to just be parents."
Lucy-Jo and Alan sparked speculation there were back together earlier this week when they were spotted locking lips at football match.
Alan – who plays mechanic Tyrone Dobbs in ‘Corrie’ – took to his Twitter account on Wednesday (04.05.16) to wish the former ‘Wild at Heart’ star a happy birthday and revealed he is whisking her away to Paris for a romantic getaway.
He tweeted: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife @LucyJo_Hudson who is 33 today love you so much darling, and cannot wait for Paris (sic)"
Lucy-Jo replied almost instantly by posting 10 beaming heart-eyed emojis alongside the hashtag "lucky girl".
