Lucy Fallon can’t watch Corrie grooming scenes

‘Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon hasn’t watched back her "uncomfortable" grooming scenes yet.
The 21-year-old actress plays vulnerable Bethany Platt in the ITV soap and recently lost her virginity to manipulative Nathan, an older man who the teen is currently in an uneasy relationship with, and the star admitted the tense story has made her think twice about watching it back.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ on Wednesday (22.02.17) with co-star Christopher Harper, who plays Nathan, she said: "I haven’t actually watched that yet because it does make me feel uncomfortable, as it does for viewers."
And the blonde beauty added that, although the scenes made her feel uneasy, she understands the storyline will bring awareness for sexual abuse victims in real life.
She explained: "We actually met with the NSPCC and a girl called Lucy who told us her story and it was absolutely horrific.
"To be honest, that made both of us so determined to do this story right for people that this has happened to and it is happening to. It is just so important that we get it right. We’ve had really good feedback saying it’s important we’re doing it at this time, to target the right people.
"If we didn’t do it, it wouldn’t be talked about and we want to start the conversation."
And the actress spilled that further "uncomfortable" scenes are yet to come, as her older lover later introduces her to other men.
She said: "Nathan takes Bethany to the flat and there are lot of men there, we did a scene that was so uncomfortable, it was horrible."
Chris revealed: "Suddenly they’re back in Nathan’s flat surrounded by men. Anything adds to the capability, talking to parents, a friend that’s a girl. These are the disguises people take up.
"She does read the signals. He’s not in for what she’s in for, she’s falling in love and he’s sticking around while he can get something out of it, and where that goes is pretty scary."
