Love Island’s Tommy Fury will ask Amber Gill if she is interested in "getting to know him" on tonight’s (05.06.19) episode – less than 24 hours after coupling up with Lucie Donlan.
The 20-year-old boxer delivered a sucker punch to fellow Islander Joe Garratt by opting to couple up with the 21-year-old surfer, leaving Joe single, but after going on a date with her the fighter approaches 21-year-old Amber to admit he doesn’t want to put all his "eggs in one basket".
Growing worried about Lucie’s loyalty to Joe, Tommy tells Amber: "I went on that date last night and it was a good date but I feel like I woke up this morning and you can’t put all your eggs in one basket.
"I know you’re a straight up girl so what I want to know is … would you be open to getting to know me?"
Amber replies: "Yeah. I’m getting to know everyone. I’m not putting my eggs in one basket."
Tommy’s comments come after he enjoys a date with Lucie, and admits he picked her rather than the beauty therapist because she "tickled [his] heart".
He tells Lucie: "I wanted to go with my heart. I wanted to couple up with you because I believe something was there."
She says: "I heard that it was between me and Amber?"
He replies: "She’s a lovely girl but she didn’t tickle my heart like you did. I don’t know what it is. I get butterflies when I see you."
Lucie tells Tommy he is "good with words", but she ends up sleeping on the sofa that night following a discussion with Joe.
The catering company owner says: "You’re probably not ready to talk about stuff right now and it’s fine, we’ll hold it back another day, but I feel like you’ve come back and you’re keeping your options open."
And she replies: "I just want to go to sleep."
In another twist, while Lucie and Tommy are out on their date Amber starts grafting Joe, admitting the "stupidest thing" she did was not step forward for him during the day one coupling.
And she makes it clear she has no feelings for Callum Macleod, who she is currently with.
She explains: "He [Callum] knows that nothing is there. It’s not happening. I need someone with a bit more about them."
‘Love Island’ continues tonight (05.06.19) at 9pm on ITV2.
