Sophie Piper was inspired to find love after witnessing Rochelle Humes’ rock-solid marriage.
The 21-year-old ‘Love Island’ star – who is the Saturdays singer’s half-sister – admitted she signed up for the ITV2 dating show to find a lasting bond like her sibling’s marriage to Marvin Humes.
She told the MailOnline: "Both my sisters have really nice relationships so it would be nice to get along with someone well."
Rochelle and Marvin – who share six-year-old Alaia-Mai and two-year-old Valentina Raine – wed in 2012 after two years of dating and have influenced the rising star to finally join the cast of singletons after pulling out of the fifth series.
Sophie explained: "I’m going on the show because I haven’t had a boyfriend in about 500 years. I think the experience in itself is so fun.
"I was in the mix last summer but the timing wasn’t 100 percent right so I am happy to have the opportunity now and what better place than South Africa? Work commitments stopped me going on last time."
Sophie admitted she has urged her famous sister to set her up in the past with a "potential suitor, but she hasn’t been the best matchmaker.
She added: "We actually had a sit down about this and I asked her ‘Is there no one you can set me up with?’
"And she was like, ‘I actually don’t have any potential suitors.’ I am sure if she did. She would intro me. My dream man is Anthony Joshua."
However, the pair haven’t always been so close after their father walked out on Rochelle when she was three-years-old and went on to father Sophie and her siblings Lili and Jake with a new partner.
She recalled: "There was a period where we weren’t in contact. It was weird growing up not knowing Rochelle but since we have spoken we speak every day so it is nice all of us being in each other’s lives now."
The sisters reconciled 23 years after their father ran out on Rochelle and her mother, and the reunion was thanks to 2017 ‘Love Island’ winner – and the singer’s ‘This Morning’ co-star – Kem Cetinay.
Sophie said: "My middle sister Lili went to school with Kem so that’s how we know him. Obviously he was at the same school as me. It’s funny how it’s all linked together."
