Love Island’s Sophie Piper and Connor Durman break up?

‘Love Island’ stars Sophie Piper and Connor Durman are said to have broken up.

The pair hooked up on the ITV2 show’s first-ever winter series in January, but are now thought to have mutually ended things after their romance didn’t "have a chance to get started because of lockdown".

A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Things just fizzled out. They never even went official.

"It just didn’t have a chance to get started because of lockdown and they both agreed it was better to just stay friends."

On her Instagram Stories, Sophie has shared a post with the caption: "So cheers to more life and memories."

Just last month, Sophie admitted she and Connor were yet to go on a first date and described their romance as a "situation-ship".

She said: "No we are not together at all! We are just seeing each other.

"It is a situation-ship. I’m just enjoying that. I will get to know him, go on dates with him.

"We’re yet to have a first date. Obviously we’ve both been so busy, but he’s coming back down to London tomorrow so hopefully I’ll see him again then."

In March, prior to the coronavirus lockdown, Connor admitted he was planning to move in with Sophie.

He said: "It’s going really well. We’ve not been on social media together, but we’re still meeting up all the time. We’re just keeping things quiet at the moment.

"We’re both happy with how things are going. It’s so intense in the villa, it’s nice to do things naturally in the real world when you’re out.

"We want to go nice and slowly and not jump ahead."
