Nas Majeed has admitted Demi Jones was "out of sight, out of mind" during his Casa Amor stay.
The 23-year-old builder – who was eliminated from ‘Love Island’ on Monday (10.02.20) with partner Eva Zapico – caused quite a stir when he arrived back at the villa with Eva on his arm on Friday (07.02.20), much to Demi’s dismay.
Now, he has confessed the 21-year-old beauty quickly slipped his mind during the lads’ stay at second villa Casa Amor.
Nas said: "Going into Casa Amor, she was at the forefront of my mind on day one. But yeah, out of sight, out of mind.
"When you do have a genuine connection with someone else, it’s impossible to ignore that. I really had to go with my heart over my head."
Demi was left heartbroken when Nas walked back into the main villa with Eva after they were beginning to spark a romance before he left.
However, he promised the beauty he wouldn’t flash his new romance in front of her face, though he did end up hurting Demi’s feelings when she caught them kissing.
Now, Nas regrets his decision to smooch Eva on his first night back in the main villa.
He explained: "The only thing I would do differently is not kiss Eva on the first night in the main villa. In my defence, me and Eva were talking under the covers, when it was light, I think Demi assumed we were kissing which is when she got upset.
"But we actually tried to be a bit more respectful and try and kiss silently, when the lights were off … out of sight, you couldn’t hear us. But at the same time, to explain that to Demi was still a kick in the teeth. So I’ll hold my hands up, I do apologise."
Demi soon picked herself back up and moved on to fellow Islander Luke Mabbott, with the two sharing a kiss on Monday (10.02.20), and Nas couldn’t be happier for her.
He added: "I feel like those two are the sweetest most genuine people I’ve ever met in my life and they will make, fingers crossed, the loveliest ‘Love Island’ couple to ever exist because they are so bubbly and so sweet. I feel like they both deserve it as well. Fingers crossed it does work out for those two."
