Love Island’s Mike Boateng still fancies Leanne Amaning

Love Island’s Mike Boateng wants to re-couple with Leanne Amaning.
The former police officer was snatched away from the 22-year-old customer service advisor when newbie Jess Gale took him on a double date with her sister Eve and Callum Jones in Monday’s (13.01.20) episode.
But it seems the twins’ plan to bag a man for themselves has back fired for one of them already as the hunky cop still has feelings for the brunette beauty.
Mike revealed he enjoyed sharing a bed with Jess last night but developed "butterflies" in his stomach when he looked over at Leanne in the morning.
Determined to stay open and honest, Mike whisked Jess away for a quiet word where he told her he couldn’t see it going anywhere for them at the moment as "distance has made the heart grow fonder" for Leanne.
The blonde bombshell was "shocked" by his revelation and said she wouldn’t have pursued him if she had known that he felt so strongly for someone else.
Mike later told Leanne about his feelings for her and asked her if they could "pick up" where they had left off because she was the only one who had his attention.
Leanne replied: "I’m happy to hear that."
Although things appear to be back on track for Leanne and Mike, tension is still building between Callum and Shaughna Phillips after he ditched her for Eve.
The 25-year-old Democratic Services Officer was left reeling when Callum – who kissed her before he left – returned from the date and failed to speak to her.
Shaughna admitted to Eve that she had felt "sh*t" about her re-coupling with Callum and warned her "may the best woman win" in her quest to win him back.
However, after having a chat with Callum in tonight’s (14.01.20) episode, Shaungha appeared to have second thoughts as she wants a "man not a son."
‘Love Island’ returns to screens on Wednesday (15.01.20) at 9pm on ITV2.
