Joanna Chimonides won’t give Michael Griffiths another chance now he’s left ‘Love Island’.
The 27-year-old firefighter had hoped for another chance with the 22-year-old model after both he and Francesca Allen got booted from the villa on Sunday (21.07.19).
However Joanna – who had previously insisted he would only get one strike – appeared on ‘This Morning’ and said: "I’ve had time and a few days to adjust. It is what it is. I can’t do anything about it. For me that’s my strike two."
Joanna has had time to adjust since leaving the ITV2 dating show, and she was upset by him trying to win back Amber Gill after he insisted during their time on the show that there was nothing to worry about.
She admitted she is "confused" by Michael’s actions, as and added: "I am just confused. I don’t know what he feels. I think it’s hard to say is a liar… because it is what he is feeling [but] everyone is confused with that he is feeling."
The pair had an awkward reunion during last night’s episode of spin off show ‘Aftersun’ with host Caroline Flack, and Joanna described it as a "weird" experience.
She said: "It was scary seeing him. I have only known what it is like to be with him in the villa. I was like, this is weird, I’m seeing you in real life."
Joanna was dumped from the villa and left out in the cold as Michael decided to stay in, but he set his sights back on the model after his own exit.
When prompted, she insisted she wasn’t angry at Michael for not leaving the villa with her last week.
She said: "Initially I thought he would walk out with me. But then watching at home, I thought, ‘You can’t expect someone to end their journey for you’. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing."
