Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard doesn’t expect long-distance travel to get in the way of his relationship with Maura Higgins.
The 23-year-old ballroom says the Irish ring girl is preparing to move to London or Manchester, but he is also looking forward to more visits to Ireland.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he said: "Maura’s hoping to move to England, either London or Manchester, she doesn’t know just yet. But Ireland’s so close, so easy to get to. So we can literally travel back and forwards. I work a lot in Ireland anyway.
"Maura’s family have welcomed me into their homes, so I’d never have to stay in a hotel."
The duo were forced to sit next to Curtis’ former "half-girlfriend" Amy Hart during ITV2’s ‘Love Island Reunion’ show on Sunday night (04.08.19), and they were asked questions about Curtis and Amy’s short-lived romance.
The ballroom dancer said: "I rang Amy on Saturday [before the show], I spoke to her already which was really nice. We had a great conversation, a quick conversation, how she’s doing, how I’m doing … I’ve got a lot of respect for Amy, she’s great, she’s amazing.
"It was fractionally awkward to start with, I felt, I hadn’t seen her properly yet and I did have feelings for her.
"It was good. Later on in the after-party it was nice, we got along really well."
Curtis and Amy broke up after the dancer’s head was turned by Jourdan Riane during Casa Amor, and the 26-year-old air hostess ended up leaving the villa of her own accord.
On spending time away from the cameras, Curtis said: "Since I’ve done all these things [going on walks] with Maura I’ve just got closer and closer.
"I was in bed on my own and I was like, ‘Oh, something’s missing here, this is really weird.’ In the villa we’re always together."
