Love Island plagued by norovirus?

‘Love Island’ bosses are terrified this year’s series may be ruined by an outbreak of the dreaded norovirus sweeping across the Mediterranean island of Majorca.
The reality TV show is set to return to screens tonight (05.06.17) but producers have been forced to pull in extra cleaners and stronger disinfectants in order to protect the cast after a sickness bug began spreading like wildfire across the Spanish island.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "Infection spreads fast in a hot climate and it would ruin months of planning. The show is about sexy young people hooking up in the sun – vomiting or diarrhoea would not be a good look."
However, if the contestants manage to avoid the sickness bug, this series looks set to be even more explosive than last year, which saw beauty queen Zara Holland stripped of her Miss Great Britain title after she had sex on screen, as bosses have decided to extend it by a week in order to allow even more flirty antics and rows.
Host Caroline Flack, who has presented since 2015, said: "We needed an extra week. Last year we were close to opening ‘Love Island’ for those missing it."
But it’ll no doubt be slightly awkward for the 37-year-old presenter as she’ll come face-to-face with her former flame Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Camilla Thurlow.
Despite the possible tension between them, Caroline – who enjoyed a fling with the prince in 2009 – is adamant she’ll always stick up for the beauty queen.
She explained recently: "I am supportive of all the Islandlers. I’m on their side all the time with everything they do – and I’m particularly protective of the girls going in there. She can come and talk to me about everything that happens when she comes out – that is what I have experience in.
"Anything that is going to be written or discussed about them – I have been there and taken it to heart. It’s such a small world and you can get really engrossed in your thoughts. I will after all of them – just as I did with the ‘X Factor’ contestants."
