‘Love Island’ new boy Sam Bird arrived in the villa and called Adam Collard out on his recent behaviour.
The reality show’s latest contestant has arrived in paradise, and he has taken his fellow islander to task for the way he’s treated Rosie Williams.
In shocking scenes which will air on tonight’s episode (21.06.18) at 9pm on ITV2, Sam made his grand entrance during the party and opened up about his intentions.
He said: "I’m coming in oviously to find love and maybe teach Adam how to treat a lady right, maybe."
After admitting he has already "ruffled some feathers in the villa", Sam went on to take another swipe at his rival.
Chatting to the boys, he explained: "There’s like a bit of a weird situation with Rosie. Personally for me, I’ve got three sisters and if someone did that to one of my sisters, I’d be so annoyed. In my opinion, it looked like you used her.
"If I didn’t fancy someone and wanted to go for someone else, I would have approached them first. I’m just big on making sure girls’ feelings are alright. It’s just how I would have done it. That was what my comment was about."
His comments haven’t gone down well with Adam, unsurprisingly, and he has already made his feelings known in the Beach Hut.
He ranted: "Honestly, if this boy’s going to come in and try and play the nicey nice act, it’s not going to last long. Because when he comes to having a chat with three different girls, people are going to see right through that."
It’s not just about the boys butting heads though, as Sam’s arrival is also set to cause a stir amongst the girls – as singletons Rosie and Samira Mighty look to go head-to-head in a battle for his affections.
Rosie said: "Sam and I are obviously both very excited that a new boy is coming in, we think it’s about time, we’ve been waiting long enough.
"Obviously there’s just one so it’s very bittersweet for me and Sam, because we are best friends in here. We’ve both agreed that whatever happens we’re going to be happy for each other."
The pair agreed that they wouldn’t let the man come between them, even once they both realised they fancied him.
However, the possible rivalry has certainly given Sam something to think about already.
He teased: "I feel very wanted right now, so it feels good to be in my shoes. I’m going to talk to everybody, give everybody a chance, get to know them and see where it goes."
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm tonight (21.06.18) on ITV2 and 3e.
