Louise Redknapp became ‘fearles’ after Strictly Come Dancing

Louise Redknapp thinks ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ forced her to become "fearless".
The 42-year-old singer was runner-up on BBC One’s popular dance competition last year, and though the experience left the star feeling "terrified" every week, it also revived her love for being on stage and made her shed all of her inhibitions.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’ on Friday (29.09.17), the ‘Stuck In The Middle of You’ hitmaker said: "Going through the process of ‘Strictly’ every week you are put out there, every week you feel terrified.
"You can’t explain how terrified you feel because not only are you putting yourself out there to be judged but you’re hoping the audience don’t send you home and they like what you do. And if you go home it’s obviously a bit of a slap in the face.
"I think that experience made me really realise how much I love being on stage and sometimes in life you have to be fearless, and it’s really hard, especially when you get older to be fearless you are more aware of everyone around you."
Louise has recently been plagued with rumours she and her husband Jamie Redknapp – who have sons Beau and Charles together – have separated, but she is not letting speculation surround her relationship destroy her career as she will mkae hermusical theatre debut in ‘Cabaret’ soon and will go on tour next year.
Although the former Eternal band member will be returning to the stage, she has insisted she is not trying to be a "pop star" again.
She added: "It’s really small live intimate gigs. It’s been 25 years since our first record came out, so the whole concept of us going back out on the road, is really a bit more of a celebratory – I’m not trying to be a pop star again. I’m just going back out and singing and re-working some old hits and re-introducing a couple of new ones, it’s all a really fun, intimate gig. And really a bit of a thank you, because I am so fortunate to be in this industry after so many years … you only stay here for how long people are interested and want to watch you."
