Louis C.K. has made a low-key return to comedy after admitting he’d committed several acts of sexual misconduct towards women.
Last year, the 50-year-old comedian was subject to a New York Times expose that claimed he had exposed himself and masturbated in front of at least five women in separate incidents from 2002.
Louis confirmed the allegations about him were "true", but he felt his behaviour was "OK" at the time because he always asked before exposing himself.
He said: "These stories are true. At the time, I said to myself that what I did was OK because I never showed a woman my d**k without asking first. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your d**k isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them."
Following this, Louis was dropped from voicing the dog character Max in the ‘Secret Life of Pets’ sequel by Universal and Illumination Animation, while The Orchard dropped his latest film ‘I Love You, Daddy’ from their release schedule.
But now The Blast has reported that the comedian was spotted at the Olive Tree Café in New York City on Monday (26.02.18) to test the waters on the possible return.
The Olive Tree Café is known to be the hangout location above the Comedy Cellar and there is a table permanently reserved for comics who perform at the club and could feature the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Amy Schumer and Jon Stewart.
Louis reportedly visited the restaurant and the bar was closed off while he was inside so he wasn’t bombarded by anyone who may have spotted him.
The Blast were told that Louis stopped in to check out his friend Joe List perform at the Cellar with fellow comedian Michelle Wolf.
Louis is emerging back out in public and has been spotted a few times walking around the city.
