Louie Spence is set to compete on ‘Tour de Celeb’.
The 47-year-old dance choreographer – who is known for his flamboyant behaviour – has agreed to ditch his tights for a helmet and hi-visibility garments as he goes head-to-head with other celebrities in the forthcoming cycling show.
The partaking stars will have just three months to prepare – physically and mentally – for the the L’Etape du Tour, a cyclosportive event that allows amateur cyclists to race over the same route as the Tour de France, in The Pyrenees.
The eccentric mover will race against retired cricket star Darren Gough, fitness guru Lucy Mecklenburgh, ‘Made In Chelsea’s Hugo Taylor, Winter Olympics skeleton ace Amy Williams and ex-England rugby player Austin Healey.
However, the celebrities won’t be short of expert training as Olympic gold-winning cyclist Victoria Pendleton will be on hand to ensure they master the biking skills.
Meanwhile, Louie – who worked as a judge on ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2012 – is certainly no stranger to reality TV as he previously competed on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and proved a huge hit with the viewers when he survived three live evictions before being given the chop two days before the final.
And, last year, Louie tried his luck on skis as he took part in the controversial show ‘The Jump’ but his skills didn’t quite match up to his enthusiasm as he was dropped two days in.
