Lorraine Stanley wants Danny Walters to return to ‘EastEnders’.
The 44-year-old actress – who plays Karen Taylor in the BBC soap opera – has missed having Danny around on set following his character Keanu’s disappearance from Walford after it was revealed he was the father of Sharon Mitchell’s baby, and she hopes he makes a comeback soon.
She told Inside Soap magazine: "I really miss Danny Walters, as we had the best laughs on set. We would be really silly, rude and naught!
"We’ll stay in touch and I wish him really well – it was a loss for us Taylors. We’re all gutted he’s gone. We want him to do well, but we want him to come back.
"The door is left open, and Keanu has a son on the Square, so you never know. We’ll miss him and he’ll do well – gorgeous boy!"
Keanu was last seen in February as part of the show’s 35th anniversary episodes, which saw him and Sharon’s husband Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in a dramatic punch up during the Carters’ Queen Vic boat party on the River Thames after the Mitchells tried to have him killed.
Danny explained at the time: "Keanu has always wanted to be a dad, has always wanted to be a family man. Any of his children will always be a priority. Family means everything to Keanu.
"He’s come back for a lot of reasons, to try and make things right. He’s also back to make sure the mistake he made with Louise and Peggy doesn’t happen again with Sharon. He sees it as a second chance for him to prove he can be a good dad to his children."
However, Keanu seemingly left the Square once and for all after Sharon said she never wanted to see him again.
Speaking late last year after announcing his departure, Danny said: "I have been blessed to work with the most fantastic creative team and I will miss them and my fellow actors immensely. ‘EastEnders’ will always hold a special place in my heart and I will continue to be an avid fan."
