Lorraine Kelly wants a ‘Benidorm’ cameo.
The 57-year-old TV presenter admitted during an interview with castmember Sherrie Hewson that she would love to show off her dark side by joining the ITV show as the evil twin of Sherrie’s character, hotel manager Joyce Temple-Savage.
She said: "I would love to be there, in the sunshine, but only if I could play a real baddie. Could I not be Joyce’s evil twin or sister?"
Sherrie was a fan of the idea and quipped: "Yes you could show the other side of you Lorraine, the side that nobody has ever seen, but I’ve seen it!"
However, Sherrie admitted that the sunny Spanish set of the comedy series had been hit by a freak storm just days earlier, leaving the cast "flooded out".
She said: "Well do you know what? a few days ago it was the worst thunderstorms Spain has ever had.
"[It was] unbelievable, we were flooded out, incredible."
Meanwhile, Sherrie, 66, also revealed her hopes that her character will accept the proposal from love interest Monty, played by ‘Only Fools and Horses’ star John Challis.
She said: "I can’t tell you anything, but I think she should marry Monty, I think he’s right for her.
"She’s quite bossy and I think he could take that, I think he could handle her. So, she should, but I can’t tell you whether she does."
