Lord Sugar has predicted EastEnders’ Daniel Cook will meet his maker during next week’s 35th anniversary celebrations.
The ‘Apprentice’ star loves to guess what is going to happen on the BBC One soap, and one of his latest predictions has seen him forecast cancer-sufferer Daniel’s (Adrian Edmondson) death, believing his girlfriend Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) will push him into the River Thames during the Carters’ boat party next week.
In response to a fan who said the "best new character on the show" in ages is Daniel, he wrote on Twitter: "yes but seems we are going to lose him . Jean will be devastated maybe she chucks him of the boat trip that is coming up @bbceastenders (sic)"
One of the big current plots on the soap has seen Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) become an alcoholic, but the businessman isn’t sure about one aspect of the storyline.
He tweeted: "Linda is the only alcoholic who lives and owns a pub. It’s like a Rabbi working in a bacon processing factory making pork sausages. @bbceastenders"
However, one fan pointed out that alcoholics Angie Watts (Anita Dobson) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) have previously run the pub, and he replied: "true"
Daniel was recently given just weeks to live, and Lord Sugar joked the British Medical Association will be "interested" to find out if he manages to make a "remarkable recovery", and also predicted new Albert Square resident Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) is "faking" her cancer.
He wrote: "Now the BMA will be interested if Daniel makes a remarkable recovery from his terminal illness @bbceastenders by the way the new Asian mum who has joined her lads is faking illness (sic)"
And Lord Sugar was also surprised when stalker Leo King (Tom Wells) started hiding in Whitney Dean’s (Shona McGarty) attic recently.
He wrote: "I never realised that the houses in Albert Square Walford had lofts for perverts like Leo to view Whitney @bbceastenders (sic)"
Lord Sugar recently admitted he should’ve been a "detective or a script writer" after successfully predicting a number of ‘EastEnders’ storylines.
He correctly worked out that character Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) wasn’t actually dead, and that Patrick Trueman’s (Rudolph Walker) wife Sheree Trueman (Suzette Llewellyn) wasn’t cheating on him with another man, both of which were revealed on New Year’s Day’s (01.01.20) one-hour flashback episode.
He wrote on Twitter: "I told you Denise was wrong. Patrick’s wife is not cheating, She has a grown son, that’s who she was calling. I also told you Keanu is not dead.
@bbceastenders
"I should have been a detective or a script writer. The question is when or will Keanu be re united to his baby and Louise. Maybe he is doing panto for a few months. (sic)"
