Lord Sugar loses 19lbs within two months

Lord Sugar beat his long-time rival Piers Morgan in their charity weight loss challenge – shedding an incredible 19lbs within just two months.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ host agreed to cough up £5,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital live on air today (12.12.17) after he lost his bet, which the warring pair set earlier this year, against the business magnate because he only lost 8lbs in total.
However, the 52-year-old presenter wasn’t too disheartened as he was surprised he’d lost any weight and was pleased to stump up the cash for the children’s hospital.
He quipped: "I am staggered I have lost any weight. It will prob get me a DVD deal."
However, the ‘Apprentice’ boss – who confessed he had gone on 40-mile cycle rides every other day while living in Florida – showed his generous side as he asked bosses to also bring out his £5,000 cheque as he wanted the hospital to have it instead.
He said: "I’m so pleased, bring me my cheque also… you can have that one also."
Although the pair seemed pleased with their efforts, the show’s medical professional Dr Hilary dealt them the final blow as she told them they were both "still overweight."
She added: "Can I give you some bad news? You’re both still overweight."
The pair shook hands on a £5,000 bet back in September to see who could lose the most weight by the ‘Apprentice’ final in December – with the proceeds going to charity.
Lord Sugar, 70, said at the time: "Is there a set of scales here?
"You weigh in, I weight in, I’ll come back for the ‘Apprentice’ final in December, and we’ll see who’s lost the most amount of weight."
The bet came about after Lord Sugar branded Piers a "beached whale" during a huge television showdown on the breakfast show eight weeks ago.
He said at the time: "On social media, you were prancing around in the summer, looking like a beached whale."
