Loose Women to get panel shake up

‘Loose Women’ is set to get panel shake up.
Bosses of the lunchtime show are keen to boost ratings over the next few months and, despite its current success, are reportedly toying with the idea of axing some of the panelists who aren’t proving as popular with viewers anymore.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "They will definitely axe an unpopular star."
Producers are remaining tight-lipped on who will be dropped over the next coming months but it’s believed Ruth Langsford, Christine Lampard and Andrea McLean will remain as the show’s main hosts, while Coleen Nolan, Janet Street Porter, Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha are also thought to be safe from the chop.
Katie Price – who was brought in as panellists last year – has proved a huge hit with viewers and is expected to continue on the show – depending on her work schedules.
This isn’t the first time bosses have decided to get rid of panelists as Jamelia was dropped last year after she made controversial comments about plus-sized clothing.
A source said previously: "Jamelia really annoyed bosses with her comments on high street shops selling bigger clothes. The show is often close to the bone but those comments were the final straw. ‘Loose Women’s viewers come in all shapes and sizes and the producers don’t want them to be offended."
Vicky Pattison – who joined the programme around the same time as Katie – quit the show earlier this year because she didn’t feel experienced enough to comment.
She said previously: "I can’t thank the ‘Loose Women’ team and everyone at ITV enough for giving me such an amazing opportunity. But I think, for me, I tried to run before I could walk. I think maybe certain things were discussed and debates we’d have and I’d be desperate to get involved but feel like I didn’t really have an opinion on them. Things like marriage and kids, and at the time I couldn’t even get a lad to text me back. I was like, ‘I’m out. Nothing in my locker.’ I would love to go back."
