Lloyd Macey is desperate to release a solo album.
The 23-year-old singer – who was booted out of ‘X Factor’ over the weekend – "can’t believe" he made it to the semi-finals of the talent contest, and though he does not know what the future will hold, he hopes his laryngitis will clear and he will be able to work on launching his solo career and unveil his debut LP.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the Welsh vocalist – who was mentored by Louis Walsh on the show – said: "I am so so glad I have auditioned for this show, because my life has completely changed.
"I can’t believe it. If someone told me in the first audition i would get to the semi finals of ‘X Factor’, I would never have believed them. I’ve had such an amazing time. It’s been fantastic. I am ion the tour, this is just amazing, I can’t believe it.
"I think my main goal is to make an album, and then if musical theatre and the West End comes after that, that’ll be absolutely amazing. What I would like to be is a recording artist, and then see what happens after that.
"In the future I don’t know what will happen. I will have to sit down and have a think of what lane I want to take. I want to do an album, I think that will be fantastic. But I am going to look after my voice, sort out the laryngitis, go see the doctor."
Lloyd also plans to tune in to the final of the ITV programme now he has been given the boot and "enjoy" watching the finalists Rak-Su, Kevin Davy White and Grace Davies battle it out to be crowned champion.
He continued: "And then relax, watch the final, sit back and enjoy Rak-su, Grace and Kevin, and then decide then what I can do and what the possibilities are."
Lloyd is set to enjoy the ‘X Factor Live 2018’ tour, and he cannot wait to be reunited with fellow competitors, and take to the stage in his hometown of Wales.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, he said: "We’ve all lived together for so many weeks, we are like a big family. As you see on telly everyone is so nice this year. I just can’t wait for the tour, and Rebecca Dudley she is going to be there. She is fantastic. So it is going to feel like back in the live shows I think. I think, having the taste of what a tour is like at the Little Mix gig with 21,000 people at Manchester Arena has given me so much excitement to the fact, that I will do two weeks of touring, it’s just amazing and I can’t wait. And especially to go to Cardiff to see all the Welsh, I am so excited."
