Lisa Vanderpump’s brother has passed away.
The 57-year-old reality star has shared a statement in which she revealed her older brother Mark Vanderpump has passed away at the age of 59.
She said: "This has come as a shock to us all. My brother and I had connected the day before this tragedy and I was completely unprepared for this. He was my only sibling and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. I am trying to be supportive to his two young sons that he has left behind, and help them get through this tragedy. We appreciate your consideration in this private and extremely difficult family time."
According to DailyMail.com, Mark was found dead at his home in Gloucestershire, England, on April 30.
It has been claimed the cause of death was a suspected drug overdose, but at the time of writing it is unknown whether it was accidental or deliberate.
For the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, her brother’s passing comes in a long time of tragedies, after she lost two canine friends within days of each other late last year.
In October, Lisa revealed that her pet pup Pikachu had passed away just six days after having already delivered the sad news about the loss of her pink Pomeranian Pink Dog.
She said at the time: "To even talk about that right now – having lost two of my dogs in just a few days has been unbelievable. At this time, it’s difficult to do it."
Lisa later revealed that Pikachu – named after the popular electric-mouse from the ‘Pokemon’ franchise – was suffering before his passing, and he was treated with "love and compassion".
She said: "It was unfortunate timing to lose two of our furry children in six days.
"Pikachu was suffering the last few days so it gave us some solace when he passed. The carers at VCA treated him with love and compassion and he is now at rest.
"In light of recent tragic events, it makes me appreciate even more the huge comfort that our beloved pets give to us in this very sad world."
