Lisa Scott Lee wants Coronation Street role

Lisa Scott Lee wants to land a role in ‘Coronation Street’.
The Steps singer would love to put down the microphone for a little while and show off her acting ability by securing a part of a "baddie" in the long-running soap.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I’d love to go on ‘Corrie’. I want to be a good baddie – someone who has lots of twists and turns like a lovable rogue. Someone you find out is bad at the last minute."
And that’s not the only idea the 41-year-old beauty has up her sleeve as she recently admitted that she and the rest of her band – comprised also of Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Ian ‘H’ Watkins and Faye Tozer – would like to create their own version of Gary Barlow’s ‘Let It Shine’.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Lisa said: "Would we create another Steps? Yeah why not! For us, at the moment, it’s really exciting to create new music so that’s what we’re focusing on now but you never know what will happen."
‘Let It Shine’ is a talent show – spearheaded by Take That’s lead singer – in which five young lads, Nick Carsberg, A.J Bentley, Curtis T. Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Sario Watanabe -Solomon, fought off competition from scores of hopefuls to form a new boyband called Five to Five to replicate the group’s journey through music.
The programme raked in 6.8 million viewers on launch night but the numbers dwindled and Gary’s former bandmate Robbie Williams even pulled out of his guest judge spot.
However, despite its success, the BBC decided not to recommission it this year.
