A woman branded a "Russian hooker" by Lindsay Lohan has threatened to take legal action against the actress.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress blasted Dasha Pashevkina on social media last month, accusing her of sleeping with her fiance Egor Tarabasov, 23, and now the 26-year-old fashion designer has hired a lawyer to fight back against the "exceptional lies" and demand an apology.
In a legal letter seen by The Sun newspaper, a representative for Dasha said: "Her lawyers have written to Lindsay and Dasha has requested an apology via Instagram which if forthcoming would cease legal action.
"Lindsay Lohan made some defamatory and completely untrue remarks regarding my client which have caused her and her family a great deal of anguish and turmoil.
"Dasha wishes to move on from this now and focus on more important matters but felt it was both right and necessary to publicly demand an apology."
Dasha revealed last week she had been bombarded with hate mail after Lindsay made the cheating allegations against her, and insiders claim she is pushing for the public apology as she is worried about the impact the slurs will have on her career and reputation.
A source said: "Dasha was furious by Lindsay’s lies that she made publicly against her; she put her at risk over nothing.
"As a result of Lindsay’s actions Dasha received threatening messages from individuals online.
"She has her own clothing brand that she’s building up and has been working on a new collection for fashion week – all of this nonsense could have destroyed her."
Speaking last week, Dasha said she felt "violated" after Lindsay posted her personal details online and claimed she’s too frightened to stay in her own home because of the attentions of the ‘Machete’ star’s "crazy fans".
Dasha said: "I felt very violated after she publicly accused me of something which is a complete lie and displayed my private information for the whole world to see.
"I’m still receiving hate mail, threats and phone calls from her crazy fans. I actually had to move, as I was scared to stay at my place."
