Linda Robson’s marriage nearly ended during a "tough few years".
The 59-year-old actress has been married to Mark Dunford for 27 years but admitted in a shock new interview that there were times when they were tempted to call things off as they suffered through some dark days.
Linda and Mark have children Lauren, 34, Louis, 24, and Bobbie, 20 together, along with grandchildren Lila, five, and Betsy, six months, but after Lauren developed bulimia and Louis was diagnosed with PTSD after the murder of a friend, their marriage deteriorated.
Linda told The Sunday Mirror: "I love him. We’ve had a few tough years when we could have easily called it a day, but we didn’t.
"We just get on really well, we love our kids and our grandkids more than anything else in the world."
Their union was also tested when Linda’s father died in 1997 at the age of 57, just one week after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
She said: "He died within a week and he was so young. I had just given birth to Bobbie but you just have to be strong and get on with it."
Linda is best known for her work on ‘Birds of a Feather’ and while she loves acting, she now insists on only taking on projects that will keep her near her family.
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter previously explained: "When my children were growing up I was away a lot filming. But if anything comes up where I have to go away now, I turn it down. I want to be around to spend time with my family."
