Linda Lusardi will team up with Mr. Motivator for a week-long fundraiser after surviving coronavirus.
The pair will be raising money for Age UK to help older people during the ongoing pandemic with daily 15-minute segments – which feature exercies adapting for older people to allow individuals of all ages to take part – will airing on the Ideal World channel.
Mr. Motivator – whose real name is Derrick Evans – will also be joined by famous faces such as Rustie Lee, Christopher Biggins and stars from ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’.
Linda said: "I know at first hand how debilitating this disease can be. It is important to keep your fitness levels up.
"You know what they say, ‘A healthy body, equals a healthy mind’, which is so important at these uncertain times.
"That’s why I’m looking forward to supporting Mr. Motivator this week in raising funds for Age UK."
Mr. Motivator added: "It’s a challenging time for us all at the moment. But none more so than the older generation, many of whom are feeling particularly isolated. Fitness is key to be able to maintain both your health and independence.
"That’s why, with the nation’s help, I hope my new lockdown workout sessions will help to raise significant funds for Age UK’s appeal. We may not be able to be together but together we can #workitout."
Linda, 61, recently became emotional when recalling her battle with the virus – which both she and husband Sam Kane suffered from – and how she didn’t think she would "make it" after being hospitalised.
She previously said: "I think the second night I was there, Sam was taken downstairs because he’d tested positive – I’d tested negative first of all – and the doctor came in, he was washing his hands.
"I just said, ‘Am I gonna get through this?’ And he said, ‘Well I’ll be honest with you, I can’t promise anything. You’re 61 and we just don’t know what we’re dealing with.’
"At that point, I just thought I’d had it. I rang Sam or text him downstairs, ‘You better come up, I don’t know if I’m gonna make it.’"
