Linda Lusardi launches online memorial for coronavirus victims

Linda Lusardi has launched an online memorial for the victims of coronavirus.
The 61-year-old star has created a free online platform called Rainbow Remembers following the death of her close friend Eddie Large, who died at the age of 78 after contracting coronavirus in hospital.
Linda – who was also recently hospitalised with the virus – told the Daily Star newspaper: "My children could have been putting me on that site. We want this to honour people who weren’t as lucky as me.
"I do find the stories really sad, some of them have made me cry. But it has been providing some comfort to those who have lost loved ones.
"It helps them knowing they are registered on this site and they will always be there."
Linda was inspired to create the online memorial following the death of her showbiz pal.
And the TV star has admitted she’s still coming to terms with Eddie’s passing.
She said: "Eddie was vibrant and lively and full of fun … He had heart problems in the past but he went in for a routine operation and didn’t come back out. I can’t believe it, it was shocking."
Meanwhile, Linda’s husband recently revealed his significant other "looked like she was dead" as she battled coronavirus.
Sam Kane – who was also struggling with the respiratory illness – recalled seeing his wife in hospital after she was told by a doctor there was no guarantee she would survive.
He said: "I kind of went into meltdown, thinking I was never going to see my wife again.
"I suppose, inadvertently, the doctor saying that to Linda could have potentially saved her life because by hook or by crook – an amazing nurse took me up to see Linda.
"When I walked through the door, I thought she was gone. She looked like she was dead. I sat her up in bed, realised that she was still with us and just spoke to her."
