Lily Allen has pulled out of Glastonbury due to a knee injury.
The 31-year-old beauty has decided not to attend the five-day music extravaganza, held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, at which she was scheduled to DJ in the early hours of Saturday (25.06.16) because a recent bash to the ligament has put her in excruciating pain and she’s concerned she’ll cause more damage to it if she were to slip in the mud.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: "I’m not going to Glastonbury. I have a hole in the back of my kneecap and it’s excruciatingly painful so I don’t think the mud is for me."
The ‘Alfie’ hitmaker has attended the festival every year for the past decade but it seems she’s been put off after she slipped on the wet surface last year and landed on her face.
Meanwhile, Lily’s cancellation comes just two days after she confirmed she has a new boyfriend following her split from her husband Sam Cooper in December last year.
Taking to her Twitter account at the time, the outspoken star tweeted: "I had hoped I could keep my relationship quiet until I introduced my boyfriend to my children."
The revelation came after she addressed claims she was in bed with grime DJ Daniel London when a stalker burst into her flat in the middle of the night last October.
According to legal documents, Lily – who has two daughters, Ethel, four, and three-year-old Marnie, with Sam – was under the sheets with Daniel when her crazed stalker Alex Gray broke into her home at 1.30am on October 2, 2015.
Paranoid schizophrenic Gray, who has stalked the ‘Smile’ hitmaker since 2009, was sectioned this month after being convicted of burglary and stalking.
And, earlier in the month, Sam was rumoured to have filed for divorce from Lily after five years of marriage, citing infidelity as the reason, but Lily has since denied this.
