Lili Reinhart penned a "sappy" poem for Cole Sprouse to mark his 27th birthday.
The 22-year-old actress was believed to have split from Cole last month, before the pair took to social media and seemingly denounced the rumours, with Lili saying nobody "knows s**t" about her love life.
And now, the ‘Riverdale’ co-stars – who play on-screen couple Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones – have laid down more hints they may still be together, as Lili took to Instagram to share a "love poem" she’d written for Cole as a birthday present.
Posting a picture of Cole – who, alongside his twin brother Dylan Sprouse, turned 27 on Sunday (04.08.19) – Lili wrote: "I tried to find a poem that I could send to you.
"Because my words were failing me.
"But I searched and found nothing that did you justice.
"All of these love poems can’t get it right.
"No one else’s words could ever fit.
"They haven’t known the fortune it is to love you. -sappy nighttime birthday poem for @colesprouse (sic)"
The sweet post comes after it was claimed the couple had split following two years of dating, as things have been "super heavy" between them for some time.
An insider said: "Their friends didn’t really expect them to last in the long-run. At the end of the day, their personalities are very different and their lifestyles often clashed. Things have felt super heavy in the relationship for a while, and it got to be too much. They’re both very professional though and trying to be as amicable and friendly as possible."
But just days after the split was reported, Lili shared a picture of the latest cover of W magazine – which saw her posing with Cole – and slammed the public for not knowing "s**t" about her romance.
She captioned the photo: "BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know s**t. (sic)"
Cole also shared the same image – which sees him shirtless as he stands behind Lili with his thumb pressed against her lip – on his own Instagram account, where he jokingly started his own rumour about the couple.
He wrote: "UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult (sic)"
