Liam Hemsworth would give up acting to surf

Liam Hemsworth would give up acting to surf.
The 26-year-old star – who has rekindled his romance with Miley Cyrus – has a life-long passion for the watersport and there is nothing he likes doing more.
He said: "I grew up surfing and surfed competitively until I was 18. Surfing is my favourite thing to do in the world. I’d rather do that than anything.
"If I could travel around the world and surf for a living, I would."
However, the ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ actor has been unable to ride the waves since suffering a back injury last year and is missing the pastime so much, he dreams about it every night.
He told Men’s Fitness magazine: "I injured my back pretty badly surfing last year, and I haven’t managed to do it since then. It’s killing me.
"I grew up doing it, it’s what I love to do when I’m not working. I skateboarded for the first time in a while a couple of days ago but I have dreams every night where I’m surfing."
But when he does return to the water, the Australian hunk finds surfing in Los Angeles a frustrating experience.
He said: "The surf in LA can be really good, though most of the time here in California the swell is pretty small and it’s super-crowded because so many people surf.
"It constantly blows my mind when I turn up at the beach and, you know, there’s a two-foot surf and about a million people out there.
"That just wouldn’t happen where I grew up. We always had consistent swells, but about one-seventieth of the crowd."
And it isn’t just surfing that has been sidelined because of Liam’s injuries as he’s stopped boxing training after breaking his arm.
He said: "I haven’t boxed for a while. I broke my arm last year, which hasn’t caused me too many problems, but I stopped boxing because of that and haven’t really picked it back up.
"I’ve just been doing more of those bodyweight workouts. But boxing is one of the best workouts you can do. When you’re consistently boxing – I don’t mean fighting, but just doing the training – you mentally feel so strong and good."
