Liam Gallagher looks set to make a return to music.
The former Oasis frontman hasn’t released any material since his band Beady Eye split in 2014, but he has now hinted at a comeback as he wants to reclaim his "crown".
He cryptically tweeted: "Be afraid you so called troubadours and you plastic rock n rollers give your paper crown 1 last cuddle coz I’m on my way LG X (sic)"
His post got fans very excited at the prospect of new music, with one writing: "Well that was about time. Welcome back. Music has been shite for 5 years, it’s all yours."
Another said: "NEW RECORD RIGHT?"
The 43-year-old rocker’s tweets come after he claimed brother Noel is "too busy being beige" for an Oasis reunion.
In a series of Twitter posts, he wrote: "Listen up no oasis reunion Rkids not into it I am hes to busy being beige new sounds on there way stay cool and most of all relevant LG x …
"Not into jumping onto something that happened 20 years ago it was your idea you massive potato who you trying to kid mr showbizz …
"If I was desperate to get oasis back I wouldn’t be destroying your so called GOD on this ere Twitter no cap in hand MAN YANA LG x (sic)"
And the chance of a reunion is growing more and more unlikely after Noel previously revealed there is only a "one per cent" chance of reuniting the group – who disbanded in 2009 – as he doesn’t need the money.
Asked if they will reform, he previously said: "Oh one, there’s a one per cent chance it might happen, but I don’t think so.
"There would have to be extraordinary circumstances, cause I wouldn’t do it artistically, I don’t need the money, I don’t need the record sales. I can’t think of a reason that I would look to do that. What would be the point? I don’t know. I don’t see what the point would be."
