Liam Gallagher says 2017 is the ‘year of the face off’

Liam Gallagher is predicting that "2017 is the year of the face off" in a seemingly cryptic warning to his brother Noel Gallagher.
The 44-year-old singer is recording his debut solo LP which he intends to release next summer, while his older brother Noel – who he has barely spoken to since he quit Oasis in 2009 following a huge sibling bust-up – is working with producer David Holmes on his third solo album under the High Flying Birds name.
Liam has now gone a bizarre Twitter rant in which tells his 1.38 million followers to get ready for a battle between "real versus fake" and "love versus hate".
His odd tweets read: "2017 the year of the face off Wright vs wrong Real Vs fake Love vs Hate as you were LFUKING x
"He’s not the messiahs he’s a vet NORTY boy … Chilli putter Carlo void man (sic)"
Liam then admits online that he had briefly "lost the plot" and hinted he was going to eat some energising fish to help with his "burn out".
The ‘Songbird’ hitmaker tweeted: "To be fair you got me there folks lost the plot there don’t know what 1s taking about ok idols … I feel burnt out help fish is good … Eh la the cakes been baked and out of respect I’d bring a change of napkins (sic)"
Meanwhile, Liam’s first confirmed solo festival appearance has been revealed.
Bergenfest in Norway has revealed that the former Oasis frontman will be performing next year.
A translated post from the event’s official Twitter account translates to "one of England’s biggest rock stars of all time, Liam Gallagher, comes to Bergenfest 2017!", while a statement on the festival’s website reads "2017 will see Liam touring as a solo artist and we cannot wait to see what this brilliant singer has in store for us, come June".
