The United Nations appointed the actor Leonardo DiCaprio as representative on climate change.
Ban ki Moon, the UN secretary general, pointed out that the popularity of the actor worldwide was perfect for the global challenge posed by climate change.
Later this month, DiCaprio will perform his first duty as representative on climate change – he will address the opening of the climate summit in New York.
