Leona Lewis wants a role in ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘Bleeding Love’ songstress recently landed her first movie role in new movie ‘Walking on Sunshine’ and is eager to continue acting.
Leona thinks she’d be right at home in Walford as she is also from the east end of London – growing up in Hackney.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I love ‘EastEnders’. I don’t think I’d do anything where I had to be in it for five years, but maybe a cameo role, if I could sing in the cafe or something."
The former ‘X Factor’ winner previously admitted she was apprehensive to move into acting as she is best known as a singer.
Leona explained to BANG Showbiz: "I was really like, ‘I don’t know, what if people say she’s just trying to get into acting?’ My friend was just like, ‘It’s your life! You should experience as much as possible. Anyone else would jump at the opportunity to do something like this.’ So I just wanted to do it.
"It’s a whole new world, it’s a whole different headspace. That’s kind of why I wanted to put myself in it. I was scared about doing it at first, but it’s good – it’s good to feel that fear and do something you’ve never done before.
