Lawrence Sher has been named as director of the new Peter Dinklage movie ‘O’Lucky Day’.
The 44-year-old cinematographer – known for his work on comedies ‘The Dictator’, ‘Due Date’ and ‘The Hangover’ trilogy – will take up the director’s chair for the new Paramount project starring the ‘Game Of Thrones’ actor, according to Variety.
Although little is known about the plot of ‘O’ Lucky Day’, the flick has previously been described as an "R-rated leprechaun comedy" with the story following Dinklage, as he attempts to pass himself off as one of the fairytale creatures.
Sher will add a sought after directing credit to his list of achievements, whilst Dinklage will also have a hand in producing the film.
Dinklage, 44, is also rumoured to be in contention for yet another starring role in the television adaptation of the sci-fi book series ‘The Beasts Of Valhalla’ by George C Chesbro, appearing as private eye Dr Robert Frederickson.
According to Empire, show writer Justin Monjo said: "HBO and Red Hour think [Dinklage] is perfect for the part and are very excited about the project."
