Lauren Goodger’s relationship with jailbird beau was ‘mentally draining’

Lauren Goodger’s relationship with her jailbird boyfriend was "mentally draining."
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star split from Joey Morrison, who was convicted for a string of offences, including possession of a firearm, kidnapping, blackmail and actual bodily harm, because she couldn’t deal with the distance and was heartbroken when she learnt that he wasn’t being release last year – like she initially thought.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (15.09.17), she said: "He was supposed to come out then he got set back and it put a big strain on us.
"He wasn’t getting out for another year and I couldn’t wait no more. Me going out drinking and him inside, it put a strain on us."
And there was tension between them when she did go to visit him in prison because he hated the thought of her going out with her friends while he was locked up.
Denise Van Outen asked: "He didn’t like you going out did he?"
Lauren replied: "He didn’t, no. The pressure of being inside and seeing me going out was pressure on him. It was mentally draining, it’s been so hard."
The 30-year-old beauty then burst into tears and added: "I feel under so much pressure at the moment. It’s knocked my confidence completely. I don’t know why I’m crying."
Lauren revealed that she’d split from Joey via a video message posted on her Snapchat account last week but confirmed they’re still friends.
She said: "There’s been a lot of speculation and claims recently about me and Joey about my weight and our relationship.
"We haven’t been together for a few months now and I haven’t said anything until now as I don’t have to explain my every move and should be allowed to deal with things in my own time. My antics out and about recently are because I am single and enjoying myself with my friends.
"Me and Joey are still speaking, and we’re good friends as nothing happened to make us fall out. I wanted to put it into my own words so it can’t get twisted and also because of all the ‘sources’ out there and people saying stuff.
"Joey will be home in not too long hopefully and I will see him as we’ve been through this last year and half together and have a friendship and respect for each other. He’s helped me a lot just as I’ve been there for him so of course we’ll remain friends."
