Lauren Goodger wants to make amends with Mark Wright.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ stars ended their explosive on/off 10-year relationship on bitter terms five years ago but the brunette beauty is determined to bury the hatchet once and for all by September so she can invite the hunk, who is now married, to her 30th birthday party.
A source told Closer Online: "Lauren cares how things ended with Mark and how nasty it all got. She wants to put an end to it all and finally move on. She doesn’t have romantic feelings for Mark, but she’s keen to wipe the slate clean. She’s planning a 30th birthday bash in September and wants him to be there. She’s even told pals she’s planning on reaching out and inviting him."
However, it seems Mark, 29, has other ideas as he believes it’ll be "disrespectful" to his wife Michelle Keegan, whom he married last year, if her were to befriend Lauren again.
A source said recently: "Mark has little interest in being on good terms with Lauren … He thinks it’s disrespectful to Michelle if they become friends."
Lauren and Mark – who began dating when they were at school – played out the final years of their relationship on the reality TV show, during which time they got engaged and split up on numerous occasions before calling it off for good in 2011.
Mark went on to romance Michelle and subsequently got married, while Lauren jumped into a relationship with jailbird Jake McLean but recently dumped him for a fresh start.
