Larry Lamb is set to make a sensational return to ‘EastEnders’.
Although the 69-year-old actor’s character in the BBC One soap – Archie Mitchell – is dead, show bosses are planning to bring him back after Larry won a legion of new fans on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
A source told the Daily Star: "’EastEnders’ has a new producer on board so anything can happen.
"The nation has fallen in love with Larry once again and this time it could spell the return of Archie."
And Larry said: "The problem is when I left ‘EastEnders’ nobody knew who killed Archie Mitchell…
"So six months later when I’m long gone and having a new life, then they go and kill Archie Mitchell and you start finding out all this…
"Stranger things have happened!"
Meanwhile, speaking about his stint in the jungle, Larry – who was the sixth contestant to be voted out – said: "I’m disappointed [to leave] but I’ve had such an extraordinary time. Whatever happened, it changed me as a person. It really has – just to be with those people in that situation, it’s something you can’t really create. It’s got to be created for you.
"Those people coming together like that and everybody having to rub along and put up with each other’s little foibles … And the food regime; I would never do that but I know I’ve always wanted to do that – just to eat simple food all the time."
