Lady Gaga is to release a new single in September – her first solo album material since 2013.
The 30-year-old singer announced earlier today (17.08.16) her upcoming tune will be called ‘Perfect Illusion’, which will be produced by Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker with Mark Ronson and BloodPop.
The ‘Born This Way’ hitmaker revealed her forthcoming song’s title on Instagram by sharing 12 separate posts which when seen altogether spell out: "Lady Gaga Perfect Illusion New Single September Perfect Illusion"
And she also wrote on Twitter: "LADYGAGA
NEW SINGLE
PERFECT ILLUSION
SEPTEMBER (sic)"
Gaga dropped single ‘Til It Happens To You’ in 2015 for ‘The Hunting Ground’ – a documentary about rape – but this upcoming song will be her first solo album material since 2013.
While the singer didn’t reveal any new details about her new fourth studio album, the record may not drop until early next year.
In June, Sir Elton John admitted Gaga has been working on "two or three" tracks with superstar producer Mark Ronson, which are "absolutely brilliant".
He said: "I’ve heard two or three songs from her new record, which she’s making with Mark Ronson, and it’s absolutely brilliant, so you’re gonna be really happy when you hear that later in the year or early next year."
Mark previously said: "I’ve been working with Lady Gaga for the past few months on her upcoming record and I am blown away by her talent and her voice.
"She’s never played guitar in public before. She’s great on piano but guitar is something she is learning for this record. And she just smashed it. I showed her things and she’s such a fast learner and as a performer her charisma is insane so she could have carried it anyway."
