Lacey Turner auctions clothes for Refuge charity

Lacey Turner is auctioning her clothes to help raise money for a domestic abuse charity.
The 32-year-old soap star – who pays Stacey Slater on ‘EastEnders’ – is selling three of her beloved pieces from her wardrobe to raise money for the Refuge Domestic Abuse charity, which is seeking to support abuse victims who are trapped during the coronavirus lockdown.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: "I’m taking part in OK!’s Closet Clear-Out to raise money for a cause that is always important but more so now than ever! With many charities struggling through the impact of Covid 19 this is one that I feel passionate about doing my best to help.
"I hope we can raise some money to help the many people who need it."
As part of her collection, Lacey has offered her favourite vintage jumper that has kept her warm for over 10 years.
She said: "I absolutely love this jumper, I’ve had this about 10 years, it’s the best winter jumper made from thick wool and I wear it to death every winter."
The ‘EastEnders’ star has also listed a multi-coloured sequin dress she once wore during her honeymoon with husband Matt Kay.
She explained: "I wore this on New Year’s Eve on my honeymoon … probably the funnest thing in my wardrobe."
What’s more, Lacey has donated a floral maxi dress she wore to the National Television Awards, with bids starting at just 99p.
A host of famous faces have joined the bid to raise money for charity, including ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ stars Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood, as well as Kym Marsh and Katie Price.
Dame Helen Mirren has also joined the cause by donating a pair of LK Bennett hand-embroidered shoes.
