Kym Marsh to front true crime show Murder at My Door

Kym Marsh is to front a new true crime show.

‘Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh’ will see the former ‘Coronation Street’ star look into cases of people who were killed in their homes by a person they trusted, and the episodes will feature victims’ friends and family, as well as experts who worked on the cases.

Diana Carter, commissioning editor and head of talent at A+E Networks UK, said: "’Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh’ tells these important stories from new perspectives and breathes life into what, for many, was a passing newspaper headline, but which has left scars and fissures for those involved which endure to this day."

Four episodes of the eight-part series will air this autumn on the Crime + Investigation channel, and another quartet are scheduled for 2021.

Woodcut Media’s Matthew Gordon said: "We are delighted to be teaming-up again with A+E Networks and Crime + Investigation to produce a series that highlights some truly harrowing cases these individuals could never have foreseen.

"Sensitivity surrounding the victims’ family and friends has also been paramount during filming in order to relay these stories in their raw form, to create compelling viewing but with integrity."

Kym recently signed up to front BBC Daytime show ‘Your Money and Your Life’ alongside Matt Allwright,

The consumer affairs series, which launched on June 15, offers advice and guidance to viewers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Shortly before the first episode, Kym said: "The last couple of months of lockdown has presented challenges for families across the country, often unsure of where to turn for advice.

"I’m looking forward to starting this new series with Matt, to help tackle some of the problems people are facing, reassuring viewers with top tips and advice from some of the nation’s leading consumer experts."
