Kym Marsh slams trolls for ‘bullying’ Jack P Shepherd

Kym Marsh has slammed trolls who have been "bullying" Jack P. Shepherd over his recent hair loss.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who plays Michelle Connor in the ITV soap – has stuck up for her fellow Weatherfield resident after he was targeted by some social media users who spotted his character David Platt’s tresses had changed – but Kym insists he is "made of strong stuff".
She wrote in her OK! magazine column: "The internet is amazing and terrible at the same time. Trolling is just bullying.
"Luckily Jack [right] is made of strong stuff. People make comments when they don’t know the facts."
Kym’s comment comes after Jack hit back at one troll who commented on his appearance.
In a now deleted tweet, the Twitter user wrote: "CoronationStreet wtf has david platt done to his hair? Looks like roadkill stuck to his head. T*** (sic)"
Jack replied: "Hi, my hair has started to fall out because I went through a break up with my girlfriend of 15 years last year. And was very stressed. I’m sorry Gary. (sic)"
The ‘Corrie’ star and his ex Lauren Shippey – his partner of 15 years who he has two kids, Nyla and Reuben, with – went their separate ways in 2017 after 15 years together.
Kym recently shot to the defence of fellow cobbles star Georgia Taylor, who was branded "rude" by a fan for refusing a selfie in a doctor’s waiting room.
The singer-turned-soap star said: "Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Battersby in ‘Corrie’, said she was called ‘rude’ by a fan for not wanting to have a selfie while in the doctor’s surgery.
"I think it’s absolutely fine for her to say no to that request.
"I love meeting fans and it’s an absolutely privilege that people might want to come and say hello just because they’ve seen me on TV.
"But sometimes everybody needs a bit of privacy, particularly if you’re somewhere like the doctor’s."
Georgia tweeted at the time: "Since when was it deemed acceptable to ask for selfies in the doctors reception? You have no idea what I’m here for and it’s completely inappropriate, but apparently I’M the ‘rude’ one for saying no… (sic)"
