Kym Marsh thinks Shayne Ward made the "wrong choices" in the ‘Coronation Street’ canteen – after he blamed the soap’s food space for piling on three stone.
The cobbles regular – who plays bistro manageress Michelle Connor in the ITV soap – has revealed the staff cooking spot always offers a "healthy option", so she assumes Shayne (Aidan Connor) must have chosen calorific treats instead.
Writing in her OK! magazine column, she said: "Lovely Shayne Ward blamed the ‘Corrie’ canteen for his weight gain and ‘dad bod’.
"I regularly eat there. There is a stodgy option, but there’s also a healthy option, a big salad bar and soups, too.
"So I believe Shayne has just made the wrong choices!"
Shayne, 33, recently blamed the Manchester-based soap canteen’s Fish and Chips Friday deal for boosting his size since he first stepped foot on the cobbles in August 2015.
He said: "I will miss it when I leave but it’s not done favours for the dad bod. The canteen has a really great menu but then it also has really naughty food.
"Put it this way – it’s your choice, but then if you eat from the naughty menu you’ve got to make sure you don’t put weight on, which is what happened to me really.
"Fish and chips Friday is on every single week and they have lots of sweet food like hot chocolate fudge brownie or rhubarb and apple crumble."
However, Shayne insists he no longer wants to look "ripped to shreds".
The former ‘X Factor’ winner – who has 16-month-old daughter Willow with former ‘Hollyoaks’ star fiancée Sophie Austin – said: "I’m up and down with my weight all the time and whether you could call it a dad bod or what I don’t care.
"As long as my cuddles are the cuddliest for my little girl then I don’t care about my shape, as long as my health is all right.
"I don’t want to be absolutely ripped to shreds anymore."
